Smoke Alarms
• Make sure you have a working smoke alarm fitted at home. • Smoke alarms can be fitted free during a home fire risk assessment by the Fire Service.

We also ask you not to wedge open communal doors as these are a key part of preventing the spread of smoke or fire. You should not change your front door as this will have been designed to address your protection in case of fire. Have Your Say - 10/08/2009
Over the summer Gedling Homes are seeking our tenants opinions on two important documents which affect them. We are seeking the views of our tenants on the Resident Involvement Statement and the Neighbourhood Management Model. The Resident Involvement Statement aims to set out how we will ensure that our tenants have every opportunity to become involved in the services we offer. We would like your views on how we can encourage tenants to become involved in services. Do you prefer meetings or telephone survey for example? When is a good time to hold meetings? The Neighbourhood Management Model will set out how we will deliver estate management services to you, from how often we will visit your street to how we tackle anti-social behaviour.
So how can tenants have their say? We will be running a series of Consultation Events across the Borough. The dates of these events are:
Monday 10th August 2009 4-7pm. The Richard Herrod Centre, Foxhill Road, Carlton, Nottingham, NG4 1RL.
Thursday 13th August 2009 4-7pm. Arnold Library, Front Street, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 7EE.
Tuesday 8th September 2009 4-7pm. St George’s Centre, Netherfield, Nottingham, NG4 2NN.
Monday 14th September 2009 4-7pm. Nabarro Court, Collyer Road, Calverton, Nottingham, NG14 6LP.
If you are unable to attend one of these events you can still have your say by going to the Consultation Corner section of our website. Here you will find a link to both the Neighbourhood Management Model and the Resident Involvement Statement, along with a short questionnaire for each section.
The views of our tenants are important to us, so why not have a look at the documents in the Consultation Corner and let us know how you would like us to manage your schemes.
