Anti-social Behaviour
These are the questions we are asked most frequently at our Customer Contact Centre.
I am having problems with my neighbours, what should I do?
Speak with your neighbour explaining how their behaviour affects you and suggest a compromise. Make a note of any conversations you have with your neighbour and keep copies of any correspondence you may have with them.
If the situation does not improve then contact us on 0115 905 1568 and an officer of Gedling Homes will discuss your situation with you.
What will happen if I make a complaint?
An officer of Gedling Homes will discuss the matter fully with you, with any witnesses and with the person who is causing the problem in order to try and resolve the matter before it gets worse. We may ask you to keep a written record of any further incidents and we will supply you with Diary Record sheets in this case. This may help if the situation cannot be resolved easily, as these records show the history of incidents. It is therefore very important that the records you keep are as complete and accurate as possible.
There are a number of possible outcomes from these discussions:
- mediation
v counselling
- witness support
- specialist support/intervention
Any of these may be used to try and resolve the problem.
